about the World and School of Wizard Defense

Long ago when beginnings of the world were first being formed, a group of powerful gods gathered to discuss the fate of their own creation. Half of the gods believed man should discover their power, and the other half believed man should be created with the knowledge of their ability. The world was divided. Innations were born with the ability to use this immense power, while Lornians were on the brink of discovering it. This power, is magic.

The powerful Innation Domidos was born with the ability to force and manipulate the evolution of other life forms. He used his power to animate objects and thrust his own personality upon them. Ever since he was young he believed that those who needed to discover their power should not have power at all.

As Domidos began to consume the remainder of the world, a small group of Lornians began to discover their own abilities. The most powerful and wisest Lornian, Edith, discovered that her ability to animate objects was most powerful if the objects remained stationary. If her animated beings were rooted to ground, she could channel their power to create a protective seal.

Edith and the Lornians were forced into the secret land Espeon – an area of the world that sits on the edge of the Great Mount Kana, the Enchanted Forest of Gilpin and the Wastelands of Pannun. It was in Espeon that the Lornians planned their defense.

The belief in magic is still not an accepted theory among all Lornians, so Edith only invites those who choose to believe. She found that average Lornians stopped believing in magic as they aged, so the she was forced to invite children and teenagers. But in order to train such young Lornians, Edith was forced to create a school – The Espeon School of Wizard Defense.

Students are graded on their ability to defend by first casting the animation spell, and then how well they use various levels of strength, speed and distance. At the conclusion of each class the final exam requires students to defend against an Uglore general.
